St. Mary’s High School

The St. Mary’s Mustangs claimed their 5th straight BAA Football championship with a 6 – 3 win over the Owen Sound District Wolves on Friday, November 2nd.    It was a very close game throughout the contest, with the scored tied at zero going into the second half.  The Wolves scored first in the second half with a field goal to take the lead 3 – 0.  The Mustangs struck back with a touchdown a short time later to go ahead 6 – 3.    OSDSS had chances at the end of the game to score, but the SMHS defence held until the final whistle.

St. Mary’s travels to Guelph on Friday, November 9th to take on the St. Jame’s Lions in the CWOSSA quarter final game.   Kick off is 3 pm at the University of Guelph.
